He tangata, he tangata he tangata

What is the most important thing in the world?

It’s people, people people.

When we discuss all the happenings and history around Waitangi it all has to do with PEOPLE.

Kupe a very well known Polynesian explorer features in the collaborative as he is a main feature at Waitangi.

The arrival of Kupe is of great importance, and many tribes whakapapa  to him.

He stands proudly on top of Te Whare Rūnanga, at the Treaty grounds, with his hoe (paddle) in his hands.

The quill symbolises the signing of Te Tiriti. The hands holding the hoe symbolise the paddling of the waka. Working together, moving together.

Each participant has a section of the poster. When all sections are completed , by colouring, the poster can be displayed in its full wonderful size!

This is such a striking addition to your akomanga.
