Ko Michele ahau!

I am on a MISSION to have te reo Māori spoken in every classroom in Aotearoa.

I am lucky enough to work alongside some of you - the most passionate inspiring kaiako who are making a difference to tamariki, whānau, kura and communities in your te reo journeys and teaching.

This website is a space to connect with you, share resources, and let you know what's going on in te ao Māori outside your akomanga.

Through my Te Reo Māori Classroom PD and workshops in schools I have met many of you and have always wanted a forum to be able to re-connect and get feedback on how your journey is progressing, what is working for you and what the tamariki are enjoying.

I have been able to increase my te reo through my teaching practice Teach-Learn-Teach.

Teaching is certainly the best way of learning. There are plenty of opportunities for repitition.

Involved in my resource making is a little rōpū of talented people coming together to do what we love 🙂

I was privileged to have a secondment to work on resource development for the Treaty Resource Centre.  It was through this work that I realised the absolute need for us as kaiako and Treaty partners to be working Te Tiriti day to day in our akomanga and kura.
